Assessments - Teacher Submit on Student's Behalf

Please create a feature where a teacher can override a student and submit an assessment on their behalf. For example, I created a test as a rubric assessment, told the students to submit it at the end of class regardless if they were finished or not, and 4 of them didn't. I don't want to grade them right now, and having the availability to submit for them would be helpful to lock the assessment so they can't return to it before I grade it.

Hey there! As of our release last week, you can now submit assessments on your student's behalf. Just find them in the assessment page, open the menu, and select submit. (For rubric, select the student(s) and use the submit button.) Here's a help article with more info: https://help.otus.com/en/articles/8321951-submit-a-student-s-assessment

Yes. This would be a great feature. Glad that I can still grade them but they still appear as unsubmitted.

Hi Sara! Just wanted to check in and see if you saw my message about using availability windows. Does that help meet your need or would you still like me to capture a feature request for submitting on a student's behalf?
Stephanie Baeza, UX Researcher
Thanks for submitting this, Sara! Have you tried using an Availability Window? That would allow you to limit the students' access to the assessment after a certain time. So in your example, the 4 students would not be able to go back to it and you can grade it whenever you're ready. (See knowledge base article here: http://help.otus.com/en/articles/3297609-assessments-availability-windows) Does that help or would you still like me to capture a feature request for submitting on a student's behalf?

Stephanie Baeza, UX Researcher: Thank you for that option. I do use the availability window most of the time, but an override option could still be beneficial. Thank you.
