I wish we could give the PLC leads “admin” accounts so they could be able to store the assessments in OTUS department folders so we could all have access to our assessments in case someone leaves, is out on leave, or changes school. It would make sharing so much easier.

Carilee Prater: Hi, Carilee! This is definitely an option, but it would have to be approved and implemented by the district leadership. What some other districts do is create an admin account that isn't linked to the current leads classes. So it would be Second Grade PLC or whatever would work for your case.

At the Otus workshop last fall, I shared that teachers need to be able to share entire folders with co-teachers instead of one thing at a time. This will be imperative for people retiring to share all their lessons and assessments in an easier manner.

We often recommend that those retiring be converted to an admin account so that they can share their assessment folders. Then the account can be reverted to a teacher account as soon as they are shared.
