Assessment - Retain "Missing" status while student work is "In Progress"

if a student has a missing assignment that sends up a flag of sorts as best i know on their end. If a student signs in and out of the assessment the missing designation goes away. The missing designation should stay, even once the assessment is graded. That way the parent knows it is missing, not "in progress, and graded." And if it is graded and has an IE, we can leave it as graded or missing accordingly, but the students shouldn't be able to get rid of the missing classification.

Thanks for leaving this feedback Jeffrey Blanchard! As I'm understanding it, you want the missing status to stay even if a student's work is in progress. Right now it does go away once a student starts work because they're "created" a record in the system, so right now you would have to manually apply the Missing status again. However, we can see why this could be problematic. It sounds like for you it makes more sense for the "Missing" status to stay until the work is actually turned in, right? Thanks again!

Stephanie Baeza, UX Researcher great idea!! My high school students have figured out that simply opening an assessment send it to "in process", even if they do not touch it again. I think that the "missing" designation would give them more incentive to get the work done.
