Assessments - Unsubmit an assessment that was not submitted and manually graded by the teacher

I would like the ability to grade an assessment before the student submits it, and then unsubmit it if they choose to continue it.
This will ensure my gradebook total points stays the same for all students. Leaving them ungraded means their total points are not accurate.
Currently, it does not function that way as the student never technically "submitted" it.

Thanks for submitting your suggestion Broderick Cox AC! Can you help me understand better? You can already grade an assessment before a student submits it. It will appear graded on the student's end though, so this may confuse them and their ability to access might vary depending on your settings. (You would need to have "Multiple Attempts" on.) Are you basically wanting all students to have a zero on their test until they submit it?
