Rubric Assessment - Allow Students to Grade Themselves

My formative assessments are all self-assessments. I would love to be able to create a rubric assessments where the grade they give themselves is the grade that goes into the gradebook. I think this could be done one of two ways: 1) creating a new question type for simple or advanced assessments that allows them to select rubric options that then translate to a grade or 2) create a method of allowing rubric assessments to be graded by either the teacher or the student (teacher chooses setting when creating the assessment)

Rubric Assessment - Students must grade themselves before they can submit

I would like for the students to self assess on the rubric before they can get the submit button. Self-assessment activities help students to be a realistic judge of their own performance and to improve their work.
Self-Assessing:
Promotes the skills of reflective practice and self-monitoring.
Promotes academic integrity through student self-reporting of learning progress.
Develops self-directed learning.
Increases student motivation.
Helps students develop a range of personal, transferable skills.
